Pet Import Procedure

Online Inquiry

A. Carried as excess baggage (One passport one pet only):

  1. A health certificate and Rabies vaccination certificate must be issued by the government veterinarian with the government stamp (sample form is available for ask).Rabies vaccination must be given not less than 30 days and no more than 1 year prior to entry. Health certificate must be dated less than 14 days.

  2. The above two certificates along with the owner’s address and phone number in Shanghai should be faxed or emailed to us in advance.Original copy carried by passenger.

  3. Confirm with arrival date and flight.Our company staff will meet with the owner at the baggage claim area and escort her/him to go through quarantine and customs.

  4. Since Feb 13, 2006, there is quarantine for 7 days at the quarantine station and the pet can be released home if all the tests showing negative result.The pet will have a home quarantine for the rest of 23 days which totals 30 ays.

B. Shipped as air cargo (one passport one pet only):

  1. Health certificate must be dated less than 14 days.
    VERY IMPORTANT：THE ORIGINAL PAPER OF ALL CERTIFICATES ALONG WITH THE VACCINATION BOOKLET MUST BE TRAVELING WITH THE PETS TOGETHER.

  2. Consignee must bear a passport with a valid Chinese visa and an entry record within the proceeding 2 weeks from the country that the pets are coming from.

  3. The name on passport must match the name on the health certificate, name of Consignee and Consignor/Owner. Consignee’s original passport and original Baggage Declaration form must be tendered for custom clearance use.
    VERY IMPORTANT：NOT ANY COMPANY NAME CAN BE USED AS CONSIGNEE, PERSONAL NAME ONLY!

  4. Fax or email in advance all the certificates, the Air Waybill, the address and phone number in China, to our office before the pets arrive.

  5. Confirm with arrival date and flight.

  6. Our company staff will be arranged for customs clearance at the airport.

Pet Export Procedure

A. Shipped as excess baggage/extra luggage

  1. Pet must be vaccinated by the government clinic against Rabies, and any other diseases required as a must by the destination country. Vaccinations must be older than 30 days but less than 1 year prior to departure. Original vaccination record must be provided.

  2. Pet must have an ISO microchip.

  3. Three (3) photocopies of owner’s passport, the picture page and visa page, are required.

  4. Three (3) photocopies of the passenger air ticket are required.

  5. If the dog is registered with local police, the original registration and immunization card, along with the vaccination book must be provided.

  6. Within 7 days before departure, pet has a health check at the government clinic and apply for the export health certificate. All the above required documents must be tendered minimum 5 working days before departure. The official export health certificate is ready normally 1-2 days before departure.

NOTE:
Pets traveling as excess baggage must be booked in advance with the airline company when purchasing the passenger ticket.

B. Shipped as air cargo

  1. Above mentioned item A/1-6 applies to air cargo mode as well.

  2. One passport one pet only.

  3. Booking of flight is initiated once the quotation is accepted.

  4. All above mentioned documents should be provided at least 10 working days prior to departure.

  5. The pet along with the travel crate will be sent to the airport for customs clearance, and air waybill is issued and payment of air freight is made on the same day.

NOTE:
Airport clearance at the destination country must be arranged properly.
